Taiwan’s premier rock climbing area,
Long Dong (dragon’s cave in Chinese) features 500 trad and sport
climbs (5.4 to 5.13c) on seaside cliffs up to 80 meters high. With easy
international access (30 minutes from Taipei City) and hundreds of first-class
routes in a spectacular setting, Long Dong is among the finest sea-cliff
climbing destinations in the world.

A new guidebook is now available.
Long Dong Trad Climbs by Matt Robertson describes the area’s
traditional climbing routes and features color photographs, clear topos,
maps, local climbing history and complete visitor’s guide to the area.
The guidebook is bilingual with all text in both English and Chinese.
A new sport-climbing guidebook is also in the works.
